So, continuing with my soup theme- here was last nights dinner! (Thanks Aunite Linda for this one!)
Sausage Corn Chowder
I doubled the recipe, and it worked great!
8 oz. pork sausage (I made it with ground chicken, and it is SO good!)
1/3 c. green onions
1 can cream of chicken
1 can milk
1 can whole kernel corn (I just used frozen corn)
1/2 c. shredded Swiss
1/4 tsp. hot sauce (optional)
In a 3 qt. saucepan over medium heat, cook sausage until browned, stirring to separate meat. Spoon off fat. Add green onions. Cook 1 minute, stirring occasionally. Stir in soup, milk, corn, cheese and hot sauce. Heat through, stirring occasionally. ENJOY!!! :)

Welcome!
Ok, so what are you making for dinner tonight? I am really sick of all of my recipes, and I decided to throw this up here for anyone to post what they are making, made, or go to in a pinch because its one of their favorites. Please share with me! I am tired of my recipes, and am looking for quick, easy, and kid friendly. Any type of meal- breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, drinks, apps, you name it! :) Here is my first recipe that I am putting up:
So I am creating this blog to help not only myself but hopefully you! We need to get creative with how we spend our money and time, and part of that is to create yummy and fun meals as cheap and easy as I can.
Maybe this can be a place where people can share their recipes with me, and thus everyone. Here is my first recipe to share- and of course it is going to be a dessert, because that is how I roll! :)
Toll House Pie
(A Nestle Toll House Recipe)
2 eggs
½ c. flour
½ c. sugar
½ c. brown sugar, packed
½ c. butter melted and cooled
1 6 oz. Pkg semi sweet chips
1 c. walnuts (optional! )
1 9-inch pie crust (I use the store bought ones and they taste fine!)
Preheat oven to 325°. In large bowl, beat eggs till foamy. Add flour, sugar and brown sugar; beat until well blended. Blend in butter. Stir in chips and walnuts. Pour into pie shell. Bake for 1 hour. Serve warm with ice cream or whip topping.
Recipe may be doubled. Bake two pies- freeze other if desired.
If using a frozen pie shell, it’s necessary to use deep-dish style, thawed. Place on cookie sheet and bake additional 10 minutes.
